First off, how are you?

I'm great! Can't believe how crazy life is right now

You star in AMC’s upcoming The Walking Dead: World Beyond series. How is it to enter a universe that has such an immense and dedicated following?

It's insane! I never thought I'd get this kind of opportunity. It's honestly the best kind of crazy.

Were you already a fan of The Walking Dead universe?

Yes! I started watching the walking dead religiously when it came out. Sadly, I was young and I got a little too scared so I hit pause after season 3.

Who is your favorite character from either The Walking Dead or Fear The Walking Dead? And what’s your favorite story arc so far?

My favorite character is definitely Daryl Dixon from the flagship show. However, my favorite story arc would have to be Rick Grimes. I was so fascinated with how he handles all the losses and kept moving forward regardless of the cards he was dealt.

Can you tell us something about your character Hope?

Hope is hopeless. She is exactly what you'd expect from a "damaged" teenager. However, as the show goes on she prevails and realizes that life is genuinely worth living.

How did you prepare for the role?

To prepare for this role I spent a lot of time analyzing my little sister. Hope and my little sister, Athena, are very alike. I tried my best to emulate Athena's mindset to be able to bring a genuine portrayal of hope.

The show focuses on the first generation to grow up in the zombie apocalypse. How would you do in a zombie apocalypse?

I think I'd do pretty well in the apocalypse. I'm a runner, so I'd RUN. I tend to stay away from trouble and I would do just that in an apocalypse.

You’re also a singer and songwriter, with your first single coming out this Fall. Can you tell us something about it?

Yes! My single "can't stop myself" is basically a letter to myself (and anyone who feels this way), about taking risks and not letting your own thoughts get in the way of your success. This song, along with the rest of the EP, is an introduction to me and my life.

We've got a couple of rapid fire questions for you. Just answer with whatever comes to mind first!

What song is currently on repeat in your playlist?

"Don't trust myself" by Robinson

Randomly take five items from your bag. What items are they?

Deodorant, tinted chapstick, phone charger, Yves saint Laurent perfume and a protein bar.

What is the best advice anyone has ever given you?

Best advice is hands down to never take yourself too seriously.

If you could trade places with anyone in the world for one day, who would it be?

Machine gun kelly. I love him.

If you could name five of your favourite films, what would they be?

Titanic, once upon a time in Hollywood, wolf of Wall Street, white chicks, and the lovely bones.

What advice do you have if the pandemic turns into a zombie apocalypse?

Stick together. Keep your family close and make sure you have lots of peanut butter (that is truly the best food).

What’s your favorite childhood memory and why?

Favorite childhood memory would be watching my dad play piano (very badly) to keep me from crying as a baby.

Lastly, what is one thing you think needs to change in the world?

We need to work together. I feel like the world is very selfish right now. We're too focused on ourselves and not the wellbeing of the world as a whole. I think if we all worked together and accepted one another regardless of these ideas we've been instilled with then the world would be a much more peaceful place. Acceptance for sure.
