The NARS Light Reflecting Foundation

NARS is the talk of the town with the release of their new Spring collections. Starting off with the Light Reflection foundation. Even though it has just been launched, it is already heralded as the best foundation on the market at the moment. The foundation contains a skincare formula that makes the skin look natural, hydrated and healthy. Add to that the buildable coverage that NARS is known for, and you've got yourself the perfect skin.

The foundation comes in 36 shades at the moment. The shades we've tried:

Deauville – light with neutral undertones
Stromboli – medium with warm / yellow undertones
Cadiz – medium / gold deep with neutral undertones
Zambrie – deep with warm undertones

Upon application, the first thing you notice is how weightless it feels on the skin. One layer will give you the perfect coverage for that natural look. The hydrating formula makes your skin appear flawless and there's light particles that give your face a healthy glow. But the radiance is subtle and natural. We wore the foundation for 16 hours and it doesn't wear off.

This is a foundation that you'll want to reach out for every day due to its easy and natural application.

The Light Reflecting Skincare

Adding to the Light Reflecting line, is a serum and eye & lash gel.

We applied the Light Reflecting Serum before our skincare and foundation. The serum has a smooth and cool texture that minimises any visible pores or wrinkles you have, making your skin look smooth. The serum is filled with encapsulated Baobab oil drops that hydrate and firm up the skin. The added gold pearls add the light reflecting property that gives off a natural luminosity.

We applied the Light Reflecting Eye & Lash gel after the serum. The serum treats your eyes and lashes in one formula. There's something refreshing about an eye cream that just makes you feel more awake in the morning. The blend of hyaluronic acid and vitamins brighten up your eye area and lock in moisture to make an even smoother skin.

Afterglow

If there's one love we cannot have enough of, it's lip balms and it's one of this season's must haves if you ask us. These lip balms add moisture to the lips and a bit of shine (because we can all use some). We tried two shades:

Orgasm – a sheer and peachy pink with golden shimmer, a NARS iconic shade
Clean cut – a clear lip balm that you can use all day and is probably going to be a staple in your bag

The Afterglow Lip Shine

Start your Spring season with the perfect lip gloss. The lip shines glide on with a mirror-like shine and come in 18 shades. We tried two:

Unbroken – a shimmering mauve that is the perfect prelude to Summer
Aragón – a reddish chestnut brown, perfect for every Spring night

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
